Paula Creamer, Young Kim and Beth Bader all share the third round lead at –16 at the Corning Classic. Mi Hyun Kim is fourth at –15, In-Kyung Kim is fifth at –12 with Na On Min and Becky Morgan tied for sixth at –11.
Creamer’s 66 was the low round of the day as the field continued its all-out assault on the Corning Country Club. If you consider anyone within six shots of the lead to still be in contention, then you must add these names to the ones I listed above – Ai Miyazato, Natalie Gulbis, Seon Hwa Lee, Meg Mallon and – pause for dramatic effect – Grace Park! The Lovely And Talented One posted a 67 to put herself in a tie for eighth. Heart be still! TGC did a nice interview with her early in today's coverage and she sounded like the old Grace to me. Maybe Sunday we'll see that first Top 10 (or better) since her hiatus.
Obviously the four at the top have to get the most consideration for Sunday Favorite. My pre-tourney pick looks pretty good right now as Paula has the highest profile of the top three. Of course we can’t ignore Peanut, and Young Kim and Bader have been outstanding to this point. Should be a good final round.
