Safeway International – 2nd Round

Second round play in the Safeway International was suspended at 6:10pm PDT as expected, but weather was the culprit rather than darkness. They will resume at 6:50am and are expected to start the third round at 9:45am. With fewer groups to play after the cut, they should be able to get back on schedule if the weather cooperates.

Before they called it, Lorena Ochoa was on the move. She was -6 on the day with two hole-out eagles (one from 165 yards away) through 14 holes. Lorena (-9) currently leads Catriona Matthew by one shot, Suzann Pettersen by two, and Jeong Jang and Gloria Park by three. The cut will almost certainly be +3. Karrie Webb (+8), Cristie Kerr (+8), Natalie Gulbis (+6) and Se Ri Pak (+4) are the surprising victims.
