Honda LPGA Thailand – 2nd Round

Nicole Castrale started the day with four straight birdies enroute to a round of 68 (-11), which gives her a two shot lead through the 2nd round of the Honda LPGA Thailand. Hee-Won Han is second at -9 after shooting a 68, and Christina Kim is third at -8 after carding a 66. Gloria Park and Diana D’Alessio are tied for fourth at -7.

Castrale, who is looking for her first win on tour, struggled a bit on the back nine with a couple of bogeys. Han played the back in 33 (-3) to put herself in position to win for the second time this season. She won the Corning Classic in May. Christina shared Round-Of-The-Day honors with Sherri Turner – the highlight being her eagle at the par-5 7th hole. Kim’s last victory was in Mobile last November.

My pre-tourney favorite Cristie Kerr is six shots back at -5 after a round of 68. The CYAs need to get going – Stacy Prammanasudh is T30 at -1 and Mi Hyun Kim is T39 at even par. I love Peanut, but she’s let me down every time I’ve picked her! Maybe she’s got a 65 in her to get close to the Top 10.
