As you follow the leaderboard at lpga.com the next couple of days (I'm sure you leave it up in the background and check it every five minutes like I do), it may become more disorienting than usual.
The two courses they are playing on play to different pars - the Soffer Course plays to par of 71 while the Miller Course (which will only be utilized during the first two rounds) is par-70. After Friday's round is completed, everyone's score will equalize (a total of 141 will be even par). Until then, you'll see stuff like two players posting a 68 and one of them being listed as one shot ahead of the other.

Yeah, you totally changed my view of which really is the softer course. Back to what I thought it oughtta be.
