The Grand China Air LPGA will be played October 24-26 in Haikou, the first LPGA event to be played in China. The 63-player field will consist of 12 invitees plus the top 51 available LPGA players on the money list as of September 14.
This event bridges the gap between the Kapalua Classic in Hawaii and the Korea Championship and gives the Tour a total of 34 events on its 2008 schedule. It also creates a nine-week stretch of consecutive events which concludes with the season-ending ADT Championship.
