Suzann Pettersen closed the gap by 18 points at Longs - she now trails Ochoa by 171 points with six events (and 210 maximum points) remaining. All other players have been officially eliminated. Update: Since I'm not the "official" owner of the Player of the Year award, I should have said "mathematically eliminated". Apologies for incorrect word choice.
Ochoa can clinch Player of the Year at Samsung if she wins or finishes second while Pettersen doesn't finish in the Top 10. Suzann has to keep winning tournaments but if she has to beat Lorena in playoffs to do it, her POY hopes are zilch.
