As expected, the scenery from Oahu’s North Shore was outstanding. Unfortunately the audio left a lot to be desired, especially early in TGC’s broadcast. When I could hear them, Dottie Pepper and company seemed to be genuinely excited about the start of the new season. I pick on TGC quite a bit, but I still prefer their production of women’s golf to any other network’s.
Where was the gallery? I heard occasional scattered applause, but never noticed any sizeable groups of spectators next to the greens or along the fairways. I’ll look again tonight.
